"My Supports"
The factors in my daily environment are my children at the childcare center. I say this because the children really inspire me alot because they always look for me to take care of them. the benefits that I see for their support is that it make me to do and be the best childcare provider that I can possible be. It helps me s to stay encourage and work harder to keep a safe and secure environment that is conductive to learning. I feel that this is my life I really love children and I love to work with them and if I couldn't continue to do this it really would take a a great part of my life away because this has become apart of me, I look forward to getting up and going to the daycare just to see a smile on the children faces and to know that I am apart of their lives. Most all knowing that I made a difference in each and everyone of our children.

"My Connections to Play"
Two quotes concerning play when I was a child! "Play was Fun" and " Play was Creative "
Two items that where essential to play in my childhood was
Baby Doll & Jack stones are two favorite toys I really enjoy playing with in my childhood. The people that supported me in plays was my older siblings, my mom, and dad they would always come out and support us and the children in the neighborhood. I can remember my parents and the other parents coming out playing with us in a softball game it was the parents against the children this was really fun. Play today is alot different then when I was a child. Kids was no expose to alot of things so we made play creative and fun, now kids have access to computers, video games, and much more so that are not as creative as we was we enjoy going outside playing with our friends now kids don" t really do that anymore. i really hope that our kids would get back to the basic of real play and enjoy being creative will playing and having fun at the same time.

Relationship Reflection
Relationships and Partnership is very important to me because it pays a vital role in a human life. People need to have love and compassion or a sense of belonging. relationship to me is when two or more people come to an understanding that we need someone in life and that no one can be an islander. basically that we can't live in this world all by ourselves.
I have do have several people that I can truly say that we have a positive relationship. Me and my two daughter have a very good mother to daughter relationships we can share and talk about anything. My two girls are grown, but that always would come to me for advice before they make a decision they know that they can trust me and I would always have their best interest at heart.
Some insight that I have learned concerning relationship is that you got to being willing to have a relationship with someone. when you develop a relationship it got to built upon trust and love these a two keys to help build a healthy and successful relationship and that must have respect for one another and value the others opinion.
My experience with relationship is that I owned a childcare center so constantly on a every day basis I deal with staff, parents, and children so I have to be open minded at all times and I have learned to communicate with the parents, staff, and children and keep and open door that they can always come and talk with me about any concern they may, by doing this it helps to build a relationship with them as well.

Testing for Intelligence
many children are assessed on normal basis year round. There are different type of assessment that can be done. I feel that when a child is assessed they should be tested so that they can no where a child is at and detect any problems early so that they can be work on and corrected before it get far. I feel that their should be a basic test that allows the child to reason, to think , and solve problems.
In japan children have a typical intelligence test, or IQ tests, consist of a relatively large number of small problems with varying complexity, often purely symbolic problems that requires a combination of mental aspects of the problem. when the use the IQ testing this contain math, geometrical, verbal and other problems. The result of their test are a different for each person because some other tends to do well than others or similar well in other areas.

Consequences of Stress on Children's Development
Stress is a key factor on how a child may develop. I can remember as a child being isolated from other children. This was not a very good feeling and it was not easy to deal with I didn't have many friends and I really did not want any being that so many children were so mean especially if you did not fit into their environment, depending on how you look, how you dresses, there were many stressor that determine if you could be apart or not. I had to learned how to cope with this through counseling and realize that I am just as much as important as they are. But even through that i still found myself in a shell and right now to this day I still find myself just wanting to be along.
Africa is a country that I would lie to learn more about. One stressor that I found to be big in Africa is disease this is one of the most factor that has a high risk on child development. Africa is one of the highest population in the world but, it is one number one with disease especially HIV/AIDS many children are at risk and malnutrition. Children between the age 1 to 5 are left without care because their parents has pass away these children are left to try and survive on their own. Eight of the countries over in Africa are now getting support through the (ECCD)the Africa Early Childhood Care and Development Initiative. Africa is affected by the conditions of the war, poverty, not enough food, isolation, and disease and children that are under the age of six years old not prepared for mentally or physically for school and the fact that there is not much education for the children at all.

Child Development and Public Health
Public health is one of the number one issue to today that should always be addressed. Immunization plays a vital role in child's life. many children need to be vaccinated to help prevent diseases. Immunization is a public health issue that is very important me because parents should make sure that their children get vaccinated to help prevent infectious diseases that can cause great harm to a child or even cause death. Many children can get infected with diseases if they don't get their immunizations done. 100 million children in Miking China will be vaccinated for measles, this is one of the worlds biggest public health issue. the have a campaign to help protect million of children against diseases and to reach a goal to eliminate measles in 2012. In 2009 more than 52,000 people in China was reported to have measles. Measles is one of the contagious diseases in 2008 164,000 people died from measles and mostly children that where under the age of five. This information impact my work in many was being that I own a childcare facility in the local area we have to make that each and every child have their immunizations if a child does not have them they are not allow to attend school. www.unicef.org/media/media_55859.html

Childbirth In My Life and Around the World
I have had three childbirth experiences in my life. But, the most exicited thing that I experience in child birth is being bless to see all of my granchildren being born so far. I can remeber when my first grand was born he was born premature this was a very scary moment for me and my daughter but, over all the baby came out fine and healthy and only had to stay in the hospital for a short period of time. My second grand was born around the holidays I can remeber my daughter praying that she did not have the baby on Christmas so that she can be able to eat for the holiday and she had the baby the day after Christmas so her prayers was answered. I remeber when each one of my grands was born I would examine them all over I would make sure that they had all of their hands, toes, ears. The last grand that was born was one of the best moments I remeber the doctor allowing me to cut the umbilical cord I was so excited!!! my personal experience each time with the hospital was really good they staff was very polite and nice and the labor and delivery went very well with no complications. I choose these because this was a very important part of my life being bless to she each everyone of my grandchildren being born in Labor and delivery.
Looking at Europe they a presaude to choose home birth. They use mid wives and obstetricians and Gynaecologist to support their birth at home. The feel that a low risk mother should consider birth at home because this will benfit them and it will be more safe them and their baby.In comparision with the U.S. may years ago they would have mid-wives to deliver the baby but, now we have hospitals that have qualifed staff and doctors to the deliveries.

Personal Childhood Web
Aaron Kirksey my dad was one of the most loving and caring dad who nurture me in every way. He was always there to encourage me. He gave me the nick name Sweet heart he would call Me by that name. my mom and add separated when I was a little girl, my dad raised me and my brothers. mt dad always made me feel special because he was always there. When is was in school at a young age he supported me he always encourage me to be the best I can and to go after the goals I want to achieve. the most special thing that reminds me of my dad is the love he had for use he always work hard to make sure that me and my brothers was taken care off. My dad is deceased now but, he had a great impact on my life. Still to this day!
My uncle Oscar when he would come and visit he would always take me for ride in his car. I was his pick my brothers did not like that but, he would always make sure that I was o.k.. he also had a nick name for me and he called me moon pie that was very special to me. when my uncle move away he would always come and pick me up on the weekends and take me to visit at him and his wife house. I really loved that boy! did that make my day! My uncle taught and showed me love from a child and I have learned to hold to that love and express it today with others.
Wendy was a childhood friend that I had. Her and her family made me feel so special. coming from a broken home as child many children that I grew up with would often pick and say means things. Wendy and I became real good friends she and her family showed me so much love regardless of who I was. They would come and pick me up to stay the night with her and we would have so much fun. This experience as child taught me to love people for who they are not where they came from or even their background this was very special to me.
My brothers Andy, Oscar, and Thomas was the best brothers a sister could have. They always look after me and made sure that I was taken care of when my dad was at work. I remember my brother Andy he would fix my hair for school he would make sure that I was well groom.they showed me so much love and that's what I loved the most they would not let no one bother me they protected me. Still to this very day they are the same way I often have to remind them I am an adult now but, they always see me as they little sister. We are very close that is what so special.
Ms. Disney a childhood school teacher she always encourage me as a child and she constantly lifted me up letting me know that I can do it . This was very special to me for my teacher to encourage me and these same principals I use today. I demonstrate the same thing with my children at my childcare center, kids are special and sometimes we don't know there background or the family status but all they need is for someone to love them and encourage them and make them feel special and belonged.

my passion
having a passion for children is great thing each and every child is so special. I have such a passion that I want to see each and ever child succeed and be the best they can be. I found that love is the key! and if you have that it will conquer anything. I found out if you just sometimes give child a hug or some praise, or encouraging words that really push a child to do their best. I love to see my kids a the center when they have put a puzzle together, drawn a picture etc; and they tell you look what I done. all my kids call me their Nanna so they will Say with words of expressing look Nanna! just to hear me say the words you done a great job! that awesome ! Just to see their eyes light up drives me to have more passion for early childhood.
A touch from a child
One of my students that attend my Childcare Center he is only one years old touch my heart in such a special way. he is a child that is some what delay but, he loves to get with the bigger children and he tries to do what they do and most of all he is very determined he really touch me because no matter what his delay may be he always continue to try and he does not give up! he remind of the story the little engine that can.
favorite Children's book
The Little Engine that Could by, Watty Piper is a children book that I love because it give a child great encouragement that they can. One of it favorites quotes that I love the most is I think I can! I think I can! I think I can! I know I can! and he goes on with strength and finish with confidence! awesome!
