Child Development and Public Health

Public health is one of the number one issue to today that should always be addressed. Immunization plays a vital role in child's life. many children need to be vaccinated to help prevent diseases. Immunization is a public health issue that is very important me because parents should make sure that their children get vaccinated to help prevent infectious diseases that can cause great harm to a child or even cause death. Many children can get infected with diseases if they don't get their immunizations done. 100 million children in Miking China will be vaccinated for measles, this is one of the worlds biggest public health issue. the have a campaign to help protect million of children against diseases and to reach a goal to eliminate measles in 2012. In 2009 more than 52,000 people in China was reported to have measles. Measles is one of the contagious diseases in 2008  164,000 people died from measles and mostly children that where under the age of five. This information impact my work in many was being that I own a childcare facility in the local area we have to make that each and every child have their immunizations if a child does not have them they are not allow to attend school.  www.unicef.org/media/media_55859.html

  2. Yes immunizations I feel are vital to our children who can not speak for themselves. Immunizations prevent communicable diseases and assist with preventable measures. As parents I feel we are liable to do what is in the best interest of the child and if these preventive measures are put into place to so why not? Thank you for your information especially the statistical information.
