Relationship Reflection

Relationships and Partnership is very important to me because it pays a vital role in a human life. People need to have love and compassion or a sense of belonging. relationship to me is when two or more people come to an understanding that we need someone in life and that no one can be an islander. basically that we can't live in this world all by ourselves.

I have do have several people that I can truly say that we have a positive relationship. Me and my two daughter have a very good mother to daughter relationships we can share and talk about anything. My two girls are grown, but that always would come to me for advice before they make a decision they know that they can trust me and I would always have their best interest at heart.

Some insight that I have learned concerning relationship is that you got to being willing to have a relationship with someone. when you develop a relationship it got to built upon trust and love these a two keys to help build a healthy and successful relationship and that must have respect for one another and value the others opinion.

My experience with relationship is that I owned a childcare center so constantly on a every day basis I deal with staff, parents, and children so I have to be open minded at all times and I have learned to communicate with the parents, staff, and children and keep and open door that they can always come and talk with me about any concern they may, by doing this it helps to build a relationship with them as well.

  1. I agree that building positive relationships are important. I think it is so neat that you have good relationships with your daughters. I have a sister that is 20 months younger than me and we have always been really close. Now that we are grown and have children of our own, we are still very close to our parents. I see children that are not close to their parents and it just makes me more thankful to have the relationship that I do with my parents.

  2. You have made me realize the importance of forming positive relationships with the staff too. I was only concentrating on the parents and I have completely neglected the importance of partnership with the staff. Thank you for bring this to my realization.

  3. Carrie my daughter and I also have a good relationship, as I have mentioned I had my first child at a very young age and I share a lot of that with my daughter. I want my daughter to have a better life; she tells me often how proud she is of me, of all I have accomplished over the years. And I share with her it wasn’t easy, I want here to go on and finish school and have a better life. She trusts me, she can come and talk to me about anything and I will listen. My first child is grown and lives two hours away, we talk two and three times a day, when we finish talking we tell each other l we love each other ,he is married and have two children of his own. My daughter is thirteen and her friends tell her “you and your mom have a good relationship”. Positive relationship/ partnerships help children deal with different situations. Parents should show children love, which will help them later on in life, thanks Carrie for sharing your thoughts!!!

  4. Great, Juwan you already have grandchildren. Mother - daughter relationships is very good on both parties. It builds the child's confidence and relaxes the mother. She derives joy to be an influence in her child's life. It makes you feel that you are fulfilling your God assigned role. Love for each other and trust are important in any relationship. Carrie as a center owner you are definitely doing the right thing to be open minded, for this will make your clients relax and reciprocate in the relationship.

  5. You are exactly right. We all need relationships whether we think we do or not. And trust is a part of every relationship. If you can't trust someone, you can never truly get close to them.
